High-street bank, Santander, wanted to get their colleagues talking about their careers. Whilst working for Hogarth Worldwide, we were handed this task of generating a series of internal items which would encourage to talk about their own career development and goals.
The project initially was outlined for a design for a Santander intranet, plus a collective of print items in the same style.
This then expanded into an internal animated video!
Web Design
Since the Santander internal style at that time was very illustrative, I decided to push this further by recreating Santander buildings from around the UK in the existing linear style.Print Design
To transport all the items to the various Santander offices, we created a 'toolkit' box design which would house all the required elements, whilst standing out using the playful illustrations mirrored on the Santander intranet.
Other items included jellybeans box packaging, as well as a summary of how to access the career development tools which was delivered via a z-card.
Finally, we created some internal posters to advertise the campaign and a diagram to explain colleague journeys which was displayed in breakroom areas. Just another method to start the conversation.
Storyboards
Upon receiving wonderful feedback regarding both the intranet and print campaign, we were asked to create an animated video to complete the project. I was asked to create a storyboard based on a script from Santander, which would walk colleagues through their career development options.
I decided to use the already popular building illustrations to tell the story, and then populated them with illustrated characters and props which would guide the viewer from start to finish.
